Welcome to AppSecEngineer! If you've just joined us, you're in luck. This year, we're planning more courses, more hands-on labs, and more live events than ever before!

We're coming into 2022 in a big way with not one, not two, but THREE big announcements for AppSecEngineer users!

What's new this January?

To kick things off, we've got two new courses launching today: Amazon ECR Security Essentials and Kubernetes Policy Management with Kyverno.

Amazon ECR Security Essentials

Amazon ECR security essentials

This course is a deep dive into Amazon Elastic Container Registry (ECR), a service that allows you to completely manage container images within AWS.

You'll learn how to prevent, detect, and correct security weaknesses in your container images within AWS. Our hands-on labs will take you through AWS Identity & Access Management (IAM), image scanning for ECR, tag immutability, and even monitoring security events in ECR.

Kubernetes Policy Management with Kyverno

Kubernetes Policy management with Kyverno

Kubernetes policies are a key component of your Kubernetes implementation, particularly when it comes to security.

This course is jam-packed with hands-on labs that explain what policy management is and how you can do it. Using the open source policy-engine Kyverno, you'll start by creating new Kubernetes policies and learn how to manage them with Cosign, Policy Reporter and more.

Okay, but what's this big new feature we're so excited about?

These two courses are the first in our catalogue to feature Voice-Assisted Labs.

New Feature: Voice-Assisted Labs

Voice assisted lab for AppSec Courses

This awesome new feature is going to make using labs way more convenient than before.

In previous courses, every lab exercise was accompanied by a video explaining how to do it, which mean you had to keep going back and forth between the video and the lab page.

But now, we've got helpful voice notes on every lab that give you step-by-step instructions! It's right on your lab page, so all you need to do is hit play and keep working in your lab. You can play and pause without ever needing to leave the lab module.

We'll still be having normal video lessons to explain concepts to you, so don't worry! We've just turned cumbersome lab videos into super-simple voice notes you can play from the same page.

Stay tuned for more!

We're constantly adding new courses and features to AppSecEngineer, so you don't want to miss out.

Be part of our online community on Discord! We share details about live events there, and lots of AppSec folks get together and chat over there. Try it out!
